God has always been apart of my life.
I was born into a family that believed in God and worshiped Him regularly. I grew up learning more and more about God. At a very young age I understood more things then some who were twice my age. When I was nine I decided to become a Christian by being baptized into the Church of Christ.
Thinking and learning about God was not hard after that because my Mother had founded a Christian School that I was a part of. Things became more difficult when I was enrolled in public high school my ninth grade year. I quickly realized that almost everyone in my school wad not thinking about doing what is right. So I started to reach out to my friends and I would share with them what God would have them do in everyday situations. I soon became a mediator and an advice giver. My friends come to me with their problems and I would do my very best to help them with Bible truths.
In my junior year my schoolwork started to become more challenging . I need all the help I could get from my teachers just to understand some of the work. Problems within my social life became more and more complicated and conflicts were not so easy to solve. I go to my parents for advice and guidance. They have always been there for me. They tell me where in the Bible I need to go to find the answers to my problems.
God will always be there for me. I go to Him in prayer and I read his word when I'm confused about what I should do in my life. Going to church and being surrounded by positive attitudes and welcoming smiles help me through the week. God has always been right beside me. He is there to listen when no one else seems to understands what I'm going through. When all I can do is cry at night, He is my comforter. He will never leave me. His is Light when it feels like I'm surrounded by darkness.
God is my Rock.
